Adult Education programs in Arizona provide educational services to students 16 years of age and older who are not enrolled in a K-12 school. Instruction at these programs help students to: earn a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE); connect to employment and job training opportunities; transition to post-secondary education; and/or become proficient in English.

Rio Salado College has been offering adult education classes since 1978 and is the largest provider in Arizona. Rio Salado College provides programming to help nontraditional students gain basic skills and literacy with a bridge to college and career. Students can learn the English language, prepare for GED® tests, get workforce preparation and employment skills training, take industry-specific workforce training classes, and get help transitioning to college.
